accommodate has twin c's and twin m's; embarrass has twin r's and twin s's; committee has mm, tt, and ee.
Rule 2 • Single vs. Double Consonants
necessary has ONE c and TWO s's; recommend has ONE c and TWO m's.
Rule 3 • Parallel Lines in <parallel>
Remember: "the l's of parallel are parallel lines" (one r, double middle ll, single final l).
Rule 4 • Homophone Clarity
Stationery with an e is for envelopes and letters; stationary with an a means standing still.
