House Vocabulary Rules to Remember:
1. Compound Words: bookcase (book + case) and bedroom (bed + room) join two words into one without spaces.
2. Double Consonant Protection: supper (pp), dinner (nn), and cellar (ll) double the middle consonant to keep short vowels!
3. Soft C in Cellar: The letter c followed by e makes the soft /s/ sound as in cellar and fence.
